U10 girls had two games against CP Ajax, winning one and losing one. Aoife Smyth, Katelyn Mee, Roisin Madden & Eva Noone were all on target for Kilkerrin.
U14 girls defeated Bealnamulla 2-0 with goals from Chloe Miskell & Emma Carton.
U14 boys lost 3-2 to Cloonfad United despite goals from Oisin McGann & Liam Boyle.
U12 boys exited the cup after extra time against Glen Celtic. Kilkerrin were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to an Oisin Hynes brace. Glen battled back eventually winning 3-2. Everybody at the club wishes Oisin Hynes a speedy recovery from the injury he sustained during the game.
U10 boys lost out to St. John's in both games on Friday evening. Scorers for Kilkerrin were Shane Carton, Sean Heneghan & Ronan Mullin.

Juniors disappointing season came to an end with a 3-1 defeat away to Roscommon Town. Keith Mahon's goal had Kilkerrin level at half-time but Roscommon went on to score twice without reply in the second half. Kilkerrin will drop to Division One next season after only finishing 9th in this years Premier Division.
U14 boys lost 3-1 to Roscommon Town in the cup. Liam Boyle scored Kilkerrin's goal.
U12 boys drew 1-1 with Dunmore Town thanks to David Madden's second half equaliser.
 
Lotto numbers from last week were 7, 21, 22 & 24. There was no jackpot winner. Match 3 winners were Michael McDonnell c/o Cloonfad United; Jackie Ryan c/o Cloonfad United; Dysart F.C. and Cloonfad United F.C.
The next draw will take place on May 15th for a jackpot of €3,300.

Kilkerrin United 5/5/2012

Juniors were beaten 4-0 by Moore United in the Premier Division Cup on Sunday. The final league game against Roscommon Town takes places this Thursday at 7:45pm in Lecarrow.
 
U16 boys lost out 2-1 to Ballinagar in the Shield. Alan O'Donnell scored Kilkerrin's goal.
 
U14 boys beat St. John's 3-2 in the Cup thanks to goals from Liam Boyle, Diarmuid Lee & Cillian Madden.
 
U12 boys defeated Dysart 3-2 in the Cup with David Madden (2) & Oisin Moran on target.
 
U10 boys had two games against Moylough '79 on Friday evening, winning one and losing one. Kilkerrin's scorers on the evening were Niall Miskell, Cian Carton, Cathal Fallon & Joe Kelly.
 
U8 boys training continues on Saturday at 3pm.

Kilkerrin United's 25th Anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday June 2nd in Kilkerrin Community Centre. Music is by Donna and TwelvHik e String and food will be served from 8pm. Players and supporters from past and present are welcome to attend. Tickets €15 are available from club committee members. As ticket numbers are limited it is advisable to buy early.
 
U16 boys were unlucky to lose out on penalties to Shiven Rovers in the Roscommon Cup. Dillon Keane had given Kilkerrin the lead but a late equaliser forced a penalty shoot out which Shiven won 4-1,
 
U14 boys lost 3-1 to Ballymoe FC in the league with Oisin McGann scoring.
 
U12 boys continued their impressive start to the season with two more league wins, Moore United were beaten 7-2 thanks to goals from David Madden (2), Martin Fahy (2), Kevin Traynor (2) & Oisin Hynes while Dysart were beaten 3-0 with Kevin Traynor (2) & Andrew King on the score sheet,
 
Thanks to all who have taken sponsorship cards for our John Giles Foundation "Walk of Dreams". The walk takes place in Athlone on Monday May 7th. As always your support is greatly appreciated.

Juniors bowed out of this years Roscommon Cup in disappointing fashion on Friday night last. Kilkerrin started brightly and led 2-1 at the break thanks to goals from Keith Mahon and TJ Smyth. The second half
was one way traffic however, as Ballaghadeereen scored four goals without reply to advance.
Under 12 boys had an impressive win against Ballymoe with David Madden, Oisin Moran, Osin Hynes, Brian Fahey, Kevin Traynor & Eamon Kilheaney all on target.
Under 16 boys lost out 3-2 to CB Trotters despite goals from Alan O'Donnell & Daragh Collins.
Under 8 and Under 10 boys training on Saturday from 3pm to 4pm in Kilkerrin.
Under 10 girls lost out 2-0 to Ballaghaderreen in their opening league game.

Under 8 & Under 10 girls training continues on Friday evenings from 6pm to 7pm.
Under 14 girls drew 3-3 with St. John's Athletic. Amy Mee (2) & Chloe Miskell were on target for Kilkerrin.
Under 14 boys kicked off their season with a league game against neighbours Moylough '79. Despite a good team performance, Moylough ran out 2-1 winners. Kilkerrin's goal coming from Oisin McGann following a great passing move.
Under 12 boys defeated CB Trotteres 6-0 with goals from Oisin Hynes (3), Martin Fahy (2) & Oisin Moran.
Junior men play Ballaghaderreen FC in the Roscommon Cup on Friday at 7:45pm in Lecarrow.

Kilkerrin United 2/4/2012
Juniors were beaten 5-1 by title chasing Castlerea Celtic on Sunday. Kilkerrin were always going to be up against it but a Martin Shaughnessy free kick gave Kilkerrin an early lead. Castlerea struck twice before the break and the second half was one way traffic after Kilkerrin were reduced to ten players. Next fixture is on Friday 13th April against Ballaghderreen in the Roscommon Cup.
Underage leagues kick off this week. Good luck to all our teams for the season ahead.

Juniors earned a valuable point on Sunday at home to Moore United but will feel disappointed not to have taken all three points given that Moore were well under strength. A very scrappy first half ended well for Kilkerrin when Dermot Hughes cracked in a right foot shot from 25 yards to give Kilkerrin the lead just before half time. Moore struck twice early in the second half and but for Martin Shaughnessy in goal,
Kilkerrin could have been further behind. Just as it seemed Moore would take the points, TJ Smyth powered in an unstoppable header to claim a precious point for Kilkerrin in their battle against the drop,
Next fixture is at home to Castlerea Celtic next Sunday at 2pm in a game Kilkerrin United can not afford to lose.

Kilkerrin United 20/3/2012

Juniors lost 3-1 to league leaders Ballinasloe Town on Sunday last in Kilkerrin. Despite going a goal down early on Kilkerrin battled back well and Kevin Comer levelled the game in the second half. Ballinasloe
made their pressure count however, and two further goals left Kilkerrin disappointed. Next fixture is at home to Moore United on Sunday at 2pm in the league.
 
Underage training continues for U10 boys on Saturday from 3pm to 4pm. U12 boys training commences on Saturday from 4pm to 5pm. Any underage players yet to register should do so at their next training session as all players must be registered before games commence in April.

Kilkerrin United 12/3/2012

This coming June Bank holiday weekend will see Kilkerrin United celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the club. Details of
plans to mark the occasion will be revealed over the coming weeks.

Juniors picked up a valuable 3 points in Sunday with a hard fought 3-2 victory against Cloonfad United. Kilkerrin took the lead when Jason
Ward converted a penalty following a foul on Keith Mahon. The team captain struck again shortly after Cloonfad had levelled the game,
this time from a free kick. Cloonfad equalised for a second time after the half time interval before Jason completed his hat-trick following
a fine pass from MJ Dolan. Martin Shaughnessy saved a late penalty to secure a home win for Kilkerrin. Next Sunday Kilkerrin host
Ballinasloe at 11am.

Underage registration takes place on Sunday next between 12pm and 1pm in Kilkerrin Community Centre for boys and girls from U8 to U16,
Membership is €30 per child, €45 for two children and family membership of €60. U8 children €15.

Congratulations to all the boys and girls form Clonberne and Kilkerrin national schools who made their Confirmation recently.

Juniors suffered another defeat on Sunday going down 4-0 to Lisnamult Celtic. Kilkerrin host Cloonfad United on Sunday at 2pm and will need to start picking up points quickly if they are to move away from the bottom of the premier division table. Underage registration from U8 to U16, boys and girls, will take place on Sunday 18th March at Kilkerrin Community Centre between 12 and 1pm. Membership is €30 per child, €45 for two children and family membership of €60. U8 children €15. Training will be commencing shortly.
Lotto Numbers for February 23rd were 4, 20, 22 & 25. There was no
jackpot winner. Match three winners were TJ Smyth, c/o Kilkerrin
United & Pat Kearney, Kiltullagh. The new jackpot is €2,400.

Juniors league game with Skyvalley Rovers has been refixed for Sunday next at 2pm in Kilkerrin. Kilkerrin United will host a meeting on Monday next (30th) at 9pm in Kilkerrin Community Centre to organise underage teams for the coming year. All coaches, parents and anybody else with an interest in underage soccer is invited to attend.
