Mayo League announce Scholarship recipients
The Mayo League are delighted to announce the five recipients of the 2011/12 third level scholarship scheme. The League wishes to thank all applicants for the interest shown in this scheme and it is hoped to expand the scholarship scheme in future years.
The League would like to wish all our players the best in their academic and football commitments for the season ahead.
The recipients of the Mayo League Scholarships are:
Gary Cunningham (Westport Utd.)
John Hutton (Claremorris)
Owen McNamara (Conn Rangers)
Chris Rowland (Castlebar Celtic)
Gary Sweeney (Bangor Hibs)
The above students will be presented with the first instalment of the Scholarship and a specially designed certificate at a reception in Milebush Park on Saturday 28th January 2012 at 6.30pm.
All are welcome to this reception, it will provide an opportunity for the local media to talk to the award winners involved and get an insight into the busy sporting and study life of those involved.
The Mayo League would like to thank Arcon Recruitment (Castlebar) who conducted the interview process on behalf of the League for all applicants to the scholarship scheme.
