Season Seven: Dominant
I’ll keep this one short. We’re so, so good!
Sometimes, when things click into place, it’s just so much fun to sit back and watch absolute chaos unfurl. We are, despite being a bit more leaky defensively, simply sublime in all areas of our game play. How on earth do you explain going, away from home, to relegated Empoli – a team with Serie A quality – and walking off with a 6-0 victory?!
Each game is being approached with an eye for the how I can unpick teams and I’m probably overdue a long form explanation of how things are playing out, but, right now, I’m on Comprehensive Highlights watching us tear teams apart and I’m loving it. The title, whilst still having some fifty-seven points to play for, feels almost a foregone conclusion but now is where the fun really starts. January will be a time where I want to get one or two more Serie A-ready players into the team and see just how well we can integrate them, playing this stylish brand of Amorim-inspired football.
What is more, our run over the next month or so isn’t actually that hard – so I can shift into recruitment mode and build even more on this! I’m playing quickly and, in the coming weeks, that’ll slow down significantly, but – I have to say – this is so much fun!
