Welcome back and we are halfway through season 3 and here is my half season update.

August

5 points from a possible 18 doesn’t sound great but 1 loss from 6 games after promotion does. We’re through to the 3rd round of the EFL cup too.

September

3 points from a possible 12 but again only one loss and we’re through to the 4th round

October

We pick up our first league wins with back to back 1-0 wins which help us earn 8 points from 15 this month before we lose to Brighton in the Cup

November

4 points from a possible 12 this month but our 3rd win of the season.

December

A busy December saw us lose 4 games in a row before bouncing back with a 5-4 win and then another draw to earn us 4 points from a possible 18

January

Losing to Man City isn’t an issue we followed this up with 7 points from a possible 15 in the league.

Table

As you can see we have 31 points after 30 games and 13 draws leaves us 4 off the record of 17! We’re nicely positioned just outside the relegation zone with a 5 point gap.

January Outs

We sold 2 players in january with no players in. Willock signing didn’t work out so made sense to move him on for a profit. More about O’Donnell below

The 50% of next sale sold this move for me. At leeds there’s a chance he develops quicker and better with their set up and earns a move to a bigger club again. We also needed cash now so a boost of £225k to the balance helps too.

He was quite far down the pecking order for the short term so I was happy to gamble in the long run.

Balance

As you can see despite a profit of £1m this season so far we’re over £2m in the red and this is dropping further and further each month into the red. We need some sales this summer.

A good start to the season and we’re hard to beat which is what I wanted. I’m confident we will stay up but I think it will go to the wire.

Thanks again for reading.
