Italian players FM23 - View From The Touchline

Giorgio Scalvini – Atalanta

18 year old Italian centre back, who broke into the Atalanta first team last season which earnt him a international cap, This could be an expensive signing but he could be the rock of your defence for the next 10-15 seasons. A modern day defender who is quick and strong but also good on the ball.

Nicolo Fagioli – Juventus

After a successful loan at Cremonese last season Fagioli is ready for the next step, A do it all central midfielder he could be a steal if he doesn’t get game time at Juventus keep an eye on that transfer list.

Samuele Ricci – Torino

Formerly of Empoli, Whilst expensive this player could anchor your midfield for the long term turning defence into attack with progressive passes or dribbles forward. With great natural fitness and stamina he’s a real plug and play player that could fix your midfield from day one.

Fabio Miretti – Juventus

Promoted to the first team squad this summer you might have to strike quickly before his value rises. He has a long term contract so he won’t be cheap, Similar to Fagioli if game time becomes an issue you could pick him up. A possible loan option early on in your save?

Caleb Okoli – Atalanta

After loans at SPAL and Cremonese he’s been promoted to the first team this season in real life, another Atalanta centre back. If Scalvini proves too expensive for your taste here is an alternative here or even a long term partner. Not as good on the ball but a quick strong defender. Atalanta saves have their defence sorted for the duration.

Giacomo Raspadori- Napoli

Striker has joined Napoli on loan with a permanent transfer going through next summer but at 22 he could be a player to watch as he enters his prime. Already his attributes make him stand out and he will be one to watch. Is he an Osimhen replacement or alternative that is for you to decide.

Tommaso Milanese – Cremonese

New signing from Roma so you might have to wait for him to make a move, But one to watch if Cremonese get relegated you could pick him up cheap next summer. He has all the attributes you would want from a hard working midfielder who can progress the ball forward.

Matteo Cancellieri – Lazio

Winger earnt his first cap for the national side last season which saw him earn a loan move to Lazio from Verona which will turn permanent next summer, his value is still quite low so one to keep an eye on. A speedy winger with good dribbling and crossing.

Nicola Zalewski – Roma

A modern day wing back that the game already has as a wonderkid. Small, quick and good on the ball. Born in Italy to Polish parents he has chosen to play for Poland earning 7 caps already in real life. At 20 he is another who could be a long term option for your defence and with room to grown still.
