Porto once again blew everyone away. We only lost 3 games all season and were the only side to beat Porto.

Quarter final loss to Bayern in the Champions League, We retained the Taca de Placard and won the Supertaca. Runners up in the Allianz cup.

Summer Transfers Out

Nearly around €200m taken in sales, Juventus met Vingaards release clause as he left for €30m, a massive profit as we paid just €750k 3 years ago. Niakate, Lucca and Vetlesen’s time at the club came to an end as we sold the trio for a combinded fee of €22.25m. Neves returned to the middle east as his €10m release was met. Another release clause was met as Arsenal signed Cucurella for €15m. Bayern paid €49.5m for Mertens and Spurs paid a whopping €74m for our youth product Bobrov. Raimundo joined PSV for €10m.

Summer Transfers In

First team

Torres turnt me down a year ago as he left River for Barcelona for €8.75m, after just 14 games for them he was transfer listed by request for €20m I wasn’t going to miss out again as I brought him in to be our ball carrier out of defence.

Debast comes in to partner Torres as our new look Centre back pairing. Both are dual footed and good on the ball to help playing out from the back.

In front our our new centre back pairing we brought in experienced defensive midfielder Luis from Newcastle. A pattern of mine the past few seasons bringing in experienced Portuguese defensive midfielders, Palhinha, Neves and now Luis.

Another experienced Portuguese DM our former player Braganca returns on a one year loan to provide cover to let some of the youth players go out on loan.

Youth Prospects

Rugasevic is probably a year away from the first team just because of the players we have in his place. A long term successor to Florentino Luis.

Reis left us two years ago for Chelsea in a 12.75m move, A great loan at Rotherham aside the move hasn’t paid off for him. We brought him back for our B team with the hope he can be a first team squad player loan term for €4m its a gamble worth doing.

Lazic joins us for .9m before a loan to France, a defensive midfielder who was already first choice at Cukaricki.

Turkish Striker Mertoglu joins us from Adana for €7.75m before returning to Turkey on loan.

Mexican striker Rosales joined for €14.25m from Chivas, A loan to Willem II in Holland will help with his development.

Vernet I’d been following for 2 years and our scouts were really excited about his potential. He joined from Sion for €10.25m, A loan wasn’t possible due to him being 17 when the window was open so he will stay with the B team until January. A determined playmaker we could look to build around long term.
