The fall before the rise - View From The Touchline

As we returned to pre-season as Champions, We over achieved last season the kids did brilliant & Mendoza fired us to the title.
We couldn’t hold onto Guarderas any longer hes been asking for a move to a bigger club for a while & Rosenborg paid £375,000 upfront with add ons. Andy Polo left for £125,000 hard money to turn away & I have youngsters hes holding back.
Noguera, Bravo & Riveros all left for fees aswell.
Just the one in with striker Jesus Castro joining for £40,000 after my DOF found him the 18 year old is one for the future.

Toreno Del Inca

All the way to the final for the 3rd time in 4 years and we still haven’t won it in our 95 years.
The Final was shocking our left back was sent off early then his replacement was sent off by the 60 minute mark.

Copa Libertadoras

Scraped out of the group with 2 wins then Corinthians were too good for us.
Still haven’t made it past the 2nd round.

Nearly undefeated in the opening stage. I rested players for the Copa Libertadoras 2nd leg for the Municpal game. Good news is we qualify for playoff now.

Closing stage

Verona came in with a £750,000 bid for Gutierrez which was his release cause which was awful losing our best player mid season but also the club need money we are on the verge of administration so hopefully that holds it off.

The closing stages didn’t go as well as the opening but Guti going played a part in that.
Administration is close so we need to sell more players

Movistar playoffs

We finished 4th, our lowest position since I took over after champions last season its disappointing but still happy in a way due to it being a very young squad.

Takeover

We were on the verge of administration. I have deals in place to sell Acuy for £250,000, Velarde for £145,000 Paucar for £86,000, Gonzales fot £425,000, Tello for £500,000 & Marreros for £450,000.
I was hoping that would stave off the administration but then all of a sudden news dropped in my inbox of a takeover. They came in and wiped £36m off the debt theres now £2m left.
The down side is i’ve sold half my team plus they haven’t actually put much money into the club so I don’t have much of a budget to get us that quality of player in.
Upside is we are almost debt free so maybe we can try & build with the youngsters & not have a need to sell them.
My aim is to win the Libertadoras but also the Torneo Del Inca has alluded me so far.
Hopefully we will have a brighter future but we will still be focusing on our own youth system.
