Welcome back!
Another mid season update, It’s not going that well.

August

A slow start with just 4 points from possible 15 but two cup wins

September

4 points from a possible 12, a bad start to the season but through again in the cup.

October

2 3-0 wins and I thought we had started to turn the tide before Politic was ruled out for the season, 6 points from possible 15 and out of the cup

November

5 from a possible 12, this season isn’t going well.

December

5 points from a possible 21 and we’re in the relegation zone

January

6 points from a possible 12 gets us out of relegation zone and we’re out of FA cup

Table

4 points out of the relegation zone, the next 17 games we need to pick up as many points as possible

Out

Matthews leaves for £1m, I kept rejecting bids for him but on deadline day he handed in a transfer request so i let him go, Time for Conn to be firm number 1 choice goalkeeper now

Matthews – Bolton Legend

Before this season Matthews missed just 3 games in my career as Bolton Manager, he leaves a Legend of the save so far.

In

With Politic out I needed another winger so Green joins from Inter, and then Edwards becomes my biggest signing of the save so far for £1.5m

Green

We needed someone better than Fitzmartin to cover the lose of Politic so Green comes in, Inter signed him from Villa for £2m 3 seasons ago and after just 3 appearances in 3 seasons, hopefully a fresh start can kick off his career.

Edwards

Edwards comes in, I have to credit my Director of Football for this one, Scouts recommended him with a 99 rating last summer and I added him as number 1 target, fast forward to the winter transfer window deadline day a deal is finally agreed with just £3.7k pw wages. A cracking deal.

New Assistant

David Flitcroft finally got the managers job he wanted after being linked for pass few seasons so he headed off to Grimsby and in come Bolton Legend Alan Thompson, I liked this move by my Technical director as hes a former player with good attributes.

Overall

Not the season we hoped for considering our summer changes but I’m hopeful we can push on and stay up. A few tweaks to the tactic before we head into the run in.
