Welcome back, When you left us we were in the playoff hunt. Lets see how the season ends.

February

14 points from 18 we are flying now, the gap between us and 7th is widening. Through in the FA Cup

March

Through in the FA Cup again then knocked out by Man City. 6 points from a possible 9 in the league

April

10 points from a possible 18 and a playoff berth is secured

Playoff Semi Finals

Massive turnaround at home in the second leg but it took 2 goals in extra time to make sure.

Playoff Final

WE ARE GOING UP! Like last year vs Norwich a very tight game decided by one goal. It’s taken 8 seasons, 6 in the Championship but Bolton are back in the Premier League

Table

Another season of progress and we take the next step

Playoff news items

The board are happy we have achieved promotion

Awards

Frenz is a star, that boy we signed for £675k is now a man! We accepted £35m bids from Newcastle and Stoke and he rejected both for a new contract with us.

Debt

With £3.1m of debt outstanding the board moved to clear it following promotion and £30m bank balance.

Transfers

We got given a £37m transfer budget and I couldn’t spend it. I tried but I couldn’t find much value in the market. With Sales we only spent £1.5m

Marchand

With the Interest in Frenz we needed a replacement/Backup lined up and thats where Marchand comes in, He’s 3 years younger and the natural successor

Carlos

A highly rated prospect from my scouts he joins our attacking options, He’s already 3rd best with potential to improve

Markovic

My main two targets in the window was a Center back and a Right back, In the end I got a man who could do both. At £5.5m he becomes my biggest transfer so far.

Overall

Due to the playoffs we weren’t sure which division we were going to be in which left us abit behind in the transfer market. We now have to make sure we’re in with a fighting chance until January and bring in reinforcements then. I’ve overhauled my scouting team so we will go an and find targets to improve the side.
The issue I’m having is the value in the market has moved. Teams are wanting £20m+ for average players. So we need to make sure we make the right moves to improve the side.
Short term, not getting relegated is the aim. With £96m TV deal every year it looks like we will need that money to continue improving the club on and off the pitch.
