Welcome back guys, Thanks for keeping up to date with double posts a week the past few weeks. Should be back to weekly Friday updates now for you to enjoy over your weekends!
August
Terrible start to the season with only 2 points from the first 4 games and out of the cup on pens!
September
Started September with a great win vs Leicester before only picking up 1 more point from the next 3 games.
October
Only 1 point from a possible 9 means our horrendous start continues. 6 points from a possible 33 so far we are struggling.
November
2 massive wins this month vs west ham and QPR sees us double our points tally for the season
December
2 points from a possible 15 this month this has been a poor season so far. One positive is we are through in the FA cup
January
Out of the FA Cup to Portsmouth and 7 points from a possible 15.
Table
As bad as we have been others have been worse! with 13 games left we need 18 points for safety.
Transfers
Out
Salcedo, Assarsson and Kuhnel had all struggled for game time so it made sense to move them on but as the window closed Bayer and Sheffield United decided to rip my defence apart with moves for Chan and Markovic meeting their release clauses. McCann also left on deadline day.
In
Time to take our team to the next level. I’ve invested a lot in the central midfield positions the past few seasons but Protti and Paulo are a totally different level. Reid and Dani come in to replace Chan an Markovic.
Protti
I love this player, when my scouts bought him to my attention I had to have him, he was like a shiny new toy! I paid over his release clause to meet work permit restrictions but believe it will be worth it long term.
Paulo
Protti needed a hook to allow him to run free and in Paulo I’ve found his partner
Reid
Reid was on my short list after Chan had a bid made for him I swooped for him.
Dani
Dani comes in as 3rd choice with an eye to replace Essomba long term who has all the big clubs watching him.
Balance
From £41m in debt to a balance of £54m obviously if we get relegated this will collapse.
A poor start to the season needs fixing and hopefully the midfielders will play a huge part in that.
Come back next friday to see how we got on.
