Welcome back, We all hate Man City, I just can’t beat them in this save, but lets catch up on the season so far…

August

We all hate Man City, a 89th minute winner secures the Community Shield. We started the season with a loss before picking up 9 points from a possible 12

September

5 points from a possible 9 in the league, two wins from two in the europa league and through in the EFL Cup.

October

7 points from 12 in the league, A good draw vs Napoli in the Europa League and through in the EFL Cup.

November

4 points from 9 in the league, a massive win vs Napoli secures our qualification to the knock out rounds before the kids earnt a draw at Prague.

December

We all hate Man City, another late goal earns them a point! 11 points from 18 in the league. The kids earnt a great win in the Europa and we smashed Sheffield United to progress to the Semi Finals of the EFL vs…. Man City

January

Late goal vs Wrexham helped the kids into the 4th round where they brushed Norwich aside so we’re now into the 5th round of the Fa Cup.
A late goal from Man City earnt them a 2-1 first leg win before a stale 0-0 in the second leg sees us out in the EFL Cup Semis.
9 points from 12 in the league.

Table

Sat nicely in 5th place with a game in hand which if we won would take us into 4th.
I’d like to finish top 4 this season but the gap behind us is quite tight too.

Transfers in

£55m invested into the future this window. And my first loan signing of the save! its 2033!

Howells

I’m sure i mentioned last time I wanted a future LB and couldn’t get a deal done. I finally got it over the line, did the DOF overpay? maybe but i’m hoping he’s our LB for the next 10 years.

Ramsdale

My GK went out injured for 4 months, my 17 year old back up then let 5 in vs Liverpool so i had to act. I didn’t want to spend any money as Quinn would be back so for the first time in this save i hit the loan market. In comes 34 year old Ramsdale for 6 months and he’s started well.

Borracha

I’d been watching Borracha for a while, but i had no need for him, but his value passed his release clause and the big club started circling so i jumped. We signed him and loaned him back until the end of next season which due to the brazilian calendar is 23 months from now…
So he will head back to Flamengo and hopefully bang the goals in for the next 2 years before returning a better player and we may have a spot for him.

Transfers Out

Sold Bosco for a £10m profit following the emergence of 18 year old Jamie Thomas.

A Good start across all competitions and hoping we can have a strong finish to the season.
Top 4, a three-peat of FA Cups and a Europa Cup?

We can dream

Come back next time and see.
