Welcome back, This has been our best season in the Premier league so far lets see how we finish,

February

3 wins no goals conceded a great month.

March

7 points from a possible 9 another 3 clean sheets.

April

7 points from a possible 15 points, we need 4 points from the last 3 games to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in our history.

May

we ended the season with 2 wins from 3 and we secure Champions League Football in Bolton.

Table

4th! Champions League Football in Bolton next season, and we qualify directly for the group stages. Our whole season was built on defence.
We only conceded 36 goals all season and we had 17 clean sheets. The downside is we only scored 46 goals. 4th is a massive overachievement and Champions League football will stretch our thin squad.

Awards

Cesar was sensational in all the tight games he was the difference helping us win rather than getting a draw.

Transfers

Out

Marchand leaves for £45m to United a massive profit on the £625k we paid 3 seasons ago. Palacios leaves for £10m a year after signing for £1.4m. The other 4 were youngsters who weren’t going to make it.

In

Tairi

Tairi signs from Reims, he will offer us some depth at centre back.

Civelek

Civelek signs for £5.5m we actually agreed this a year ago and his stock has risen already hes valued at £19.75m

Farhat

Following the departure of Marchand we needed a replacement and we also needed to increase our homegrown quota so English Left midfielder joins from Liverpool for £37.5m

Aguiar

Aguiar replaces Palaicos as Cesars backup, with the extra games we needed an increase in quality second choice striker.

Garitano

One for the future, Manuel our current left back is starting to look abit out of depth so Garitano comes in mainly looking at starting in a years time.

Balance

£31m in the bank before Champions league football, no debt at all to worry about. We’re excited about the season ahead. i think its asking a lot of our squad to make top 4 again but we’re going to try.
Its an exciting time for us here at Bolton and I even more so when we drew this group!

Come back next friday and see how we got on.
